Earn with DERSA

Deliver, and get paid for it

Food, shopping, parcels. Start with whatever you already have, including nothing with an engine in it.

What you can deliver with

Each one asks for a different set of documents. We do not ask you for papers your vehicle does not need.

A motorbike carrying a load through traffic

Motorbike

The fastest way through traffic, and what hot food usually goes to. Needs a licence, registration and insurance.

A bajaj driver on the road in Ethiopia

Bajaj

More room than a bike and steadier with a big order. Where bajajs are allowed, they carry both people and parcels.

Cars on a street in Addis Ababa

Car

Shopping runs, and anything that must stay dry. The same car can carry passengers between deliveries, so a quiet hour is not a wasted one.

A modern passenger van

Van

The heavy and the bulky: a case of drinks, a part for the workshop, an order nothing smaller will take.

A bicycle loaded with goods outside a roadside shop

Bicycle or on foot

Short hops in a dense area: documents, a small basket from the shop on the corner. No driving licence, because none is needed.

How the work reaches you

  1. A job is offered

Before you accept it you see where from, where to, how far, and what it pays. Not after.

  2. You collect

You are not sent before the shop is ready. DERSA waits out the kitchen's preparation time, so you are not standing at a counter unpaid.

  3. You hand over with a code

The person receiving reads out a code. That is what proves it reached the right person, and it is why there is no argument a week later.

  4. The earning is recorded

Recorded the moment the delivery completes. What you are owed and when it is paid are both in the app.

You can do both

If you have a car you can carry passengers and orders both. It is not two applications or two accounts; it is one partner account that is eligible for more than one kind of work.

Eligibility is judged per kind of work, not once for you as a person. If your insurance lapses, carrying passengers stops — carrying a parcel may not. The app tells you which document, rather than simply refusing.
